Hatching plans for 2024

Spring is my absolute favourite season and I'm already getting excited as I can feel it's just around the corner. The daffs are tentatively popping their heads above ground, I've spotted some early blossom and the very first tiny shots of wild garlic this week. To me Spring is the epitome of hope, after the long dark cold wet winter, the sun starts to feel warmer, the birds sing again and the plants are bursting into life.

My Spring eagerness usually manifests itself in lots of dreaming about the future and making plans to bring the ideas that have been bubbling in my mind to life. This year is no exception, I have so many ideas for 2024 and how to build our flowery community - so I need your help to focus on the things you would really like to see.

More flowers
Of course, there will be more flowers in 2024. I've just placed my seed order for this year and I'm looking forward trialing some new varieties and colours of old favourites. There will definitely be more snapdragons, dahlias and sunflowers, alongside the usual fillers. I'm also planting up my new shrub and hardy perennial beds which will give me an array of new foliage to play with.

Workshops
I ran my first flower-themed workshop in December and it was wonderful meeting you in real life, chatting flowers and inspiring you to be creative (even when you didn't believe you have a creative bone in your body!). I would love to run more workshops this year. I run nature-based wellbeing workshops in my other business and absolutely love facilitating a safe and friendly space for people to play, be creative and meet new like-minded people. If you would like to come to a workshop or have ideas for particular skills you would like to learn then please let me know! So far ideas include willow weaving, making arrangements and flower crowns.

Pick Your Own
My main intention this year is to meet and connect with as many of you as possible. There is nothing I'd rather do more than hang out with people who love nature, gardening and flowers. I want to invite you to the patch to see how the flowers are growing and pick your own to arrange at home. If you would love to do this, then drop me an email to let me know which days of the week you would prefer this to be on.

Alongside these bigger ideas, there will be a few extra surprises coming later in the year too - keep your eyes peeled and join the mailing list to hear first.

If you like the sound of these or have other ideas, I'm really keen to hear your thoughts.

Have the most wonderful week,
